| I know its been a while since my last update, but well there hasn't been much to post about, just normal everyday things.
In my boredom after reading Angels & Demons, and some spurt of inspiration I decided to create ambigrams of mine and Esther's names. For those who don't know what ambigrams are they are images that are the same if you were to rotate them 180 degrees.
In the process of creating these ambigrams, the concept of symmetry and duality kept on reoccurring, where the truth and essence of the matter is embedded into its appearence. I bring this up because I'm in the process of reading Marx's Capital, which raise the question to things that I overlook: like the rigidity of our thoughts through education, where one's perception has been focus to the point where the ideas and objects outside our field become blurred and insignificant to question.
That's all as much as I would like to say about that for now. I believe I may have gotten much more than I bargained for in my Marxian Economics class :S

| It's been approximately 2 weeks since my last shave, and its been in its uncontrolled growth since then (in an asian sort of way). Although it doesn't compare much to my white friends, who could probably have the same thing in under 2 days, but thats besides the point. The point is the topics that are brought up when talking to my friends, were: 1) Appearance (obviously) 2) Masculinity 3) Age 4) Gang afflination
Its just interesting how much someone's perception of me can change with a little facial hair. Most criticisms were brought up from my mom except (2), which was mentioned by Andrew, while funny for the most part I just thought it was an interesting little experiment. Now I wonder if I were to by beer would they ID me?

| Yeah its been a while since my last xanga post, just been occupied with midterms and school, as usual, the banal routine. Instead of talking about school, I'll use this space to talk about other tech toys, since most of my gadgets are breaking/broken (stupid shuffle and PDA keyboard), out of date or just crappy.
Things that have caught my interest so far are Microsoft Origimi - seems like a good replacement for my PDA, with a good mix of portability and functionality. As long as it has streaming or video and music, with a decent amount of processing power for Photoshop, and connectivity with USB and bluetooth device, it'll fit most of my needs for a computer.
Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Headphones/Headset - although it not completely wireless as the headphones still attach to the remote, its a good change from those bulk generic bluetooth headsets. Having the ability to connect to computers, PDA, ipods and whatever bluetooth device, but still not tethered down by it, is freedom. Its happens more often then not that I forget I'm wearing some headphones and I get up but end up yanking whatever I'm connected to.
Samsung SGH-Z560 - although my cell isn't broken just yet, although there have been a few glitches. It seems like a perfect replacement with a solid design and tech spec to please the geek within. Although I don't want to buy into all the RAZR hype, I agree it is a nice phone but so many people have it now, I see atleast 5 people everyday with one on the skytrain with one of the million variants they have now.
Now all I need is a job that pays decent... arrg

| Well just to let people know that the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Superbowl today/yesterday, that means there was a lot of happy drunks at my house (brother and his friends). Caught bits of the game, seemed like a good game to watch. This year's superbowl commercials can be found here. http://www.ifilm.com/superbowl
I have to admit this years commercials are lacking in creativity compared to previous years, like during the dotcom bubble. My picks for top commercials are the Ameriquest ones, the Little Hummer, and Sprint Locker room one. The beer commercials were alright but nothing spectacular. Honorable mention goes to the little clydesdale pulling the wagon with help from his parents... it seemed like the only one that wasn't funny but good. It reminded me of the Christopher Reeves walking one from one of those investor companies.
And thats all I have to say about that....
